The final song of the album concentrates all the topics presented in the album under a big umbrella. As does the whole album, this is a song that talks about how people try to protect themselves from the rain by leaning under a tree, the leaves of which nevertheless inevitably fall one by one, until there's none left to protect them and they have to stop trying to avoid it and learn to live with it. It symbolises the tendency of people to use other people as human shields as a protection against their demons, their insecurities, their own selves and it calls for a change of point of view on life.
lyrics
Too many fallen leaves
It's already getting cold
Maybe the autumn's coming early,
Maybe i'm getting old
I never thought of changing
To be old is to stay the same
Maybe that's why I always lost
In every kind of game
A change is what I need
And sometimes all of us do
Cause we all love the summer
But forget that it was due
Yesterday
I wonder why she left
I thought she was just another one
No wonder why she left,
I treated her just like any other one
Maybe there's a winter
For all the things we love
And they're going to fall like leaves
Either we've got them or not
A change is what I need
And sometimes all of us do
Cause we all love the summer
But forget it was due
Yesterday
I was in need
Of a tree to lean under
Today all the leaves of it
Lie on the ground
And i'm not protected
From the rain that keeps falling
So maybe I'd better be
Washed to the bone
